with Inerie Mountainous
Nature Background
Blend charm between
Nature Mountains in foot of mountains Inerie with spread of desert length is
making Coast Mbalata in Watunggene Village, District of Kota Komba, East
Manggarai Regency, is interesting to visit.
Sand spread out five
kilometers from the East to the West stretch with sea blue is a distinctive
charm. Moreover if blended with the view of foot mount Inerie as background
makes Coast Mbalata is interesting to visit, especially nautical tourists.
On shore, visitors
can make such activity like swim, surfing, and fishing and play sand beach. In
addition, expanse of the beach long also can be used as volley ball, horse
riding, or jogging.
Before entering the
Coast, visitors are coddled by the scenery rice fields on right and left road
that interspersed among lines of Palmyra trees between small dikes. Grazing
fields is also coloring the beauty of the Coast which has completed five
traditional nuanced cottages.
Access to Coast
Mbalata is very easy. Coast are 33 kilometers from Borong, The Capital of East
Manggarai Regency is gone through with all kind of vehicles it is only an hour
riding.
The road is quite
good. Because of that cycling of Wae Lengga Kota, District of Kota Komba is
also provides its own preoccupation, because it is looks very beautiful scenery
along the road, while watching the activity in farmland. After tourists tired
play on the coast, they are also may see process of making Sopi or Moke (drinks
of Palmyra tree) which is processed traditionally.
Mbalata Beach Inn Cottages
Not far from Coast
Mbalata, there are Park Sea Waewole and Park Sea Watu Lamba there are seaweed.
There are two kinds of seaweeds by local people known as Singa Mbeta.
Singa Mbeta if
translated into Indonesian means ear break up. Somehow called so, perhaps
because this kind of seaweed is life in death coral so easy dropout if withdrawn.
This type of seaweeds
are ordinary available in August till October of each year. It is naturally
this seaweed shall ordinary harvested local people for family vegetables. Due
to the abundant amount, it is usually traded on the nearest market, Waelengga
and Aimere. Perhaps because it is quite delicious to make people very greedy
eat it up, and forget everything including them also even if their ear dropout
they did not feel it.
Singa Mbeta is
typical Rongga tribe vegetable simple processed and usually eaten along boiled
banana/sweet potato. This local vegetable is quite helpful to prepare the daily
menu, because there are abundant in dry time season that hard enough looking
for the green vegetables.
The second kinds of
seaweed is Ngio Ngao, in Indonesian means goat nose. This seaweed is throughout
in the year because grows stick well in coral reefs. It is need a sharp knife
to gouge it out. It is typical taste makes Ngio Ngao ordinary fresh eaten or
simple processed just drenched with hot water then spiced tamarind and grated
coconut. Seaweed is one of living resources contained in the coastal regions
and sea the association with coral reefs ecosystem.
